I have worked in the University sector since 2000 at the University of Brighton.
I started my career in the electrical contracting industry and I was fortunate to work on a wide range of installations including education, commercial, industrial and listed properties.
This was followed by my move into my current role at the University of Brighton as the Electrical Services Engineer. My previous experience of a range of many types of property and installations has been valuable as the estate that I am responsible for has over 100 buildings over a 50 mile radius.
My experience of the HE sector is one of constant and varied challenges and I particularly enjoy working with the large number of people from different schools and departments.
I have been actively involved with the AUE for 9 years with one year as Regional vice Chair for the South East Region prior to taking the Chair in November 2010.
The AUE provides a constant source of information, advice, support and friendship.
