Chairman's Introduction

The West Midlands region of the AUE hosts Universities and FE colleges from Oxfordshire to Staffordshire, including many in central England, and although there may be a vast difference in size and resource of the individual institutions, many share the same issues and problems, consequently they all benefit from the networking and skill sharing that AUE membership brings.

All members are welcome to attend the regional meetings and are encouraged to participate with the JISCMAIL.  We have an active nucleus of technical staff who share project knowledge and training, and facilitate specific site visits to particular institutions to share technical knowledge.

In my years as regional chairman, I have found the AUE of great benefit personally, value for money for my employer and a very valuable vehicle to broaden awareness of forthcoming issues and legislation affecting the Higher Education sector.
