Synopsis:
As the world is starting to sit up and realize the impending deadline to decarbonize - the fastest reductions are available through a more responsible approach to energy use with existing buildings. Not only does this reduce Co2 emissions and energy use, but it also futureproofs existing building stock for upgrading to electrification and other decarbonisation solutions.

There are various ways to mitigate unnecessary use, this session will present a holistic approach to restoring and optimizing the energy performance of closed loop systems, which represent over 50% of commercial buildings energy use within the UK.

With real case studies from buildings such as the landmark Heritage site ‘Somerset House,’ in London, to a 30 year old retirement living block of flats. The results of a 3 year PhD study will also be discussed.

Speaker:
Darren Wilkinson, Managing Director, Vexo International (UK) Ltd
