Your chance to support fellow AUE Member, Wayne Dibsdall, of Oxford Brookes in this worthy industry-related causeā€¦

On the 1st of June 2019, Wayne and 10 friends and family decided to climb/walk/crawl up Snowdon in Wales.

They took part in this challenge to raise money for HASAG.

HASAG is a charity dedicated to helping people suffering from asbestos related diseases and their families throughout the South of England, South East, London and Home Counties. They provide a complete source of help and support for anyone with an asbestos-related disease and their loved ones.

In January 2018 Nicholas Dibsdall was diagnosed with Mesothelioma, a terminal disease that is caused by the inhalation of asbestos fibres. Nicholas spent a long period of his early working career as a boiler engineer in an commercial laundry in Oxford, he was given 1-2 years to live and is an absolute inspiration to his entire family. Throughout his treatments he has always managed to keep active and often carries on as if nothing is wrong. Since being diagnosed HASAG have supported Nicholas and his family by giving advice and
assistance during home visits and being at the end of the phone to answer any questions.

The JustGiving page is still active and this is the link.
