- Last week, Charlotte Bonner, EAUC CEO, joined the staff of Keele University on campus for a tour of their flagship sustainability initiatives. For the visit, Professor Zoe Robinson, who is also one of our trustees, had Charlotte meet with numerous people who shared their work, demonstrating that a lot has changed since Keele's inaugural carbon management plan that was developed in 2008, which Charlotte was a part of.
With so much to see at Keele, including renewable energy and place-based sustainability solutions, we feel inspired for designing our next steps. Keele University won 'Sustainability Institution of the Year' in the 2021 International Green Gown Awards for their 'Creating Change through Collaboration' initiative, and have excelled in various other categories over the years. - The deadline to apply to the 2023 UK & Ireland Awards is only a matter of weeks away! With 16 categories on offer, there are many opportunities to put yourself or your institutions into the running for a prestigious Green Gown Award. The deadline is 12pm (BST) on 5th June.
