AUE EXECUTIVE POSITIONS (Voluntary)
These voluntary roles are vital to the smooth running of the Association, not to mention very fulfilling in terms of your career and networking and we are eager to have a full complement of committee members by the Executive Meeting in September.
AUE Learning & Development Focus Group Lead
to take over the role from Sam Heppell in September 2024
Briefly, this involves:
- coordinating member CPD webinar sessions with support from YourVision Events
- liaising with Training Providers to provide discounted training sessions
- leading the AUE Academy Learning & Development Bursaries plan to members
- keeping AUE Learning & Development Strategy up to date and relevant to members' needs

Brand New Focus Group - AUE Social Media
The new website (going live soon!) will have the capability to redirect to LinkedIn, Facebook, X etc and we recognise the need to ask you for help.
We are looking for volunteers from our members to take forward the thinking on the use of social media and lead our efforts on using this important communications channel. There is the opportunity for the Lead role and also for serving on the Focus group.
The AUE Social Media Lead will be invited to the quarterly AUE Executive meetings to provide updates.

AUE Chair and Vice-Regional Chair (South East)
We are looking for volunteers for the positions of Chair and Vice-Chair within the South East Region. Information on the Regional Chair role can be found on the AUE website https://www.aue.ac.uk/info-centre/guides/duties-of-regional-chairperson-2024/
The South East Region currently comprises 7 university subscribers with the potential to add a further 4 universities (37 member Engineers).
AUE Vice-Regional Chair (West Midlands)
The position of Vice-Chair is currently vacant. Information on the Regional Chair role can be found on the AUE website https://www.aue.ac.uk/info-centre/guides/duties-of-regional-chairperson-2024/
The West Midlands Region currently comprises 12 university subscribers (124 member Engineers).
Vice Regional Chair (Wales)
The position of Vice Chair is currently vacant. Information on the Regional Chair role can be found on the AUE website https://www.aue.ac.uk/info-centre/guides/duties-of-regional-chairperson-2024/
The Wales Region currently comprises 4 university subscribers with the potential to add a further 5 universities (27 member Engineers).
